Convert canon FS .mod files on Mac

How can I import video files to my macbook from a Canon FS series Flash Memory Camcorder?

According to Canon, the FS series camcorder lets you capture stunning video directly to SDHC memory cards, and share memories quickly and easily. You should be able to transfer the MPEG-2 video files unto your mac. However, this is not always the case.

Question: Cannot upload from Camcorder-Canon FS200 to mac?

I just bought a FS200 camcorder from canon but it seems that I can't import the video files to my macbook. It works with the pictures but not with the video files?

The camcorder Canon FS200,Canon FS21, Canon FS22 recorded in mod format which cannot be recognized by mac. You might need a video editing software/program. Canon FS Mod Converter for Mac works well.
