Comparison between MP4 and DV
The MPEG-4, a standard developed by the Moving Picture Experts Group (MPEG); commonly used for sharing video files on the Internet. The MPEG-4 video is compressed with MPEG-4 video encoding. Audio is compressed using AAC compression.
DV is a format for recording and playing back digital video. The magic of the DV format is that it is direct to digital. It's the video equivalent of audio CDs, replacing analog recording with the advantages of digital technology for the consumer market.
