When talking about 720P recordings, M2T is one of the recording formats we cannot miss. It is commonly used by many HD camcorders, also known as HDV, using MPEG-2 compression to store HD video data on DV or MiniDV tapes, and the resolution, is right 720p or 1080i.

Final Cut Pro is one of the most popular video editing apps, it is said to be quite helpful to both professional videographers and amateurs. You may get some M2T videos and want to edit them in FCP. however, if you have tried to, you may have found that, FCP, even a powerful video editing system it is, cannot edit the M2T Videos directly. Load M2T videos to the M2T to FCP Converter

Run AVCHD Converter Mac, drag and drop the M2T videos to the program, or click the "Add files" tab to browse and import the HDV footages either from scratch disk or cam HDD for import to the M2T to FCP Converter.

Set output format

Final Cut Pro presets are supplied, you just need to go to the column after hitting the format icon. "Apple ProRes 422 (*.mov)" format is advised here. "Apple ProRes 422 (LT) (*.mov)" is smaller in size, and the Proxy one, for SD videos, the HQ one is too large for home movie making.

The rest job will be finished automatically, and when the conversion is done, you will be notified and directed to open the folder where you have saved the converted files, then you can open FCP and import the generated files to edit.
